Alan Garnett Davenport (September 19, 1932 - July 19, 2009)
A Senior Award is granted to an individual with a record of outstanding achievement, typically within the past ten years, demonstrated through at least two of the following areas: significant and original contributions to wind engineering research; practical applications in wind engineering; educational contributions to the field of wind engineering; and active involvement in the international wind engineering community.
A Junior Award is awarded to a person who has a record of outstanding achievement, within the previous five-year period, in at least one of: significant and original contribution to wind engineering research; applications to wind engineering practice; educational contributions in the field of wind engineering.
